grown up time?

Before Jeff and I welcomed our precious darling into this world, we always made sure to have a great time hanging out just the two of us together and we found that was still possible with our little Addy. When we have a weekend and no other plans we like to spend it at home with no plans and always find a way to have a great time... This was a very good example of that...

It may be 2012 but we still enjoy us some good Rock Band!

FOOD!

If I were my Mom or my Aunt Coll, I would have given Adelyn rice cereal at 4 weeks... Well I was all about waiting until 6 months because that's what "doctors" say... well my doc said screw that (not really) and I let Addy try rice cereal at 4 months and 3 weeks, here are the results...
"you said I can have real food?"
"bring it Mom, I am pumped!"
"ummmm I'm not so sure about this"
"Yeah... no thank you!!"

SUMMER....

Where did summer go...wait where did the last 5 months go? My little stinker will be 5 months next week and I absolutely can not believe where the time has gone. I have been so blessed to have so much precious time with my baby but it is only making it that much harder to leave her! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE LOVE LOVE her caregiver!! Sandy is such an amazing part of our family now and Adelyn LOVES her already! That does not by any means make it a breeze to leave her every morning at 7am when I am use to spending every moment with her. I do feel that I am adjusting pretty darn well with the help of amazing support at school and even wonderful teachers sharing a cry with me in the mornings, I couldn't ask for more! :)

almost 5 months!
Not only am I adjusting to leaving my little stinker but I am trying to wrap my head around getting back into "school" mode. I have spent a couple of days up there and I am getting more and more excited about this year! Not only am I preparing my classroom but I am thrilled to be around amazing people and have some "adult" conversations! This year will be great! Every year I learn so much from all of my amazing kiddos and I am so very excited to see what is to come for this year!
